Management Team
President – Patricia Leahy
Patricia Leahy became President of PTL Systems, when she helped create the company in 2002. With 25 years experience in the Material Handling Industry she brings her knowledge and expertise to PTL to enable it to grow and expand its offerings in the industry. Prior to forming PTL, Ms. Leahy was the Director of Software Operations at Vertex Interactive. She oversaw the Project Management Team providing Warehouse Control systems for companies throughout the United States, Canada and Europe in a variety of industries. She was a Senior Project Manager at Data Control Systems, at the time a leading manufacturer of pick to light technology when it was acquired by Vertex Interactive. Pat had started her career with Data Control Systems, where over a 13 year period she held various positions including Project Manager, System Integrator and Analyst and Customer Support Director.
Vice President Sales & Marketing – D. Karl Metz
Karl Metz is a co-founder and partner/principal along with Ms. Leahy. Karl started his career in warehouse order fulfillment in the late 80’s with Unex Computer Systems then moving on to Data Control Systems (DCS). He uses his strong hands on experience in the industry to lead the global sales effort for PTL Systems. This extensive career in paperless picking, WMS implementation and project management are what help him deliver a solution that will fit his customers’ current and future needs. Karl graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in Woodbridge, NJ with a diploma in Electronics Technology and serves as the Vice President on the Material Handling Society New Jersey Board of Directors.
Vice President Support Services – Thomas Munt
Tom Munt is a co-founder and partner/principal along with Ms. Leahy and Mr Metz. Tom oversees the hardware support of PTL’s large customer base. Tom started his career in warehouse order fulfillment industry in the early 90’s with DCS, designing, coordinating, product managing, and implementing complete installations of warehouse systems. He has project managed many major projects throughout the US and abroad.
